New schools may wish to access the Become Accredited page that provides application information in the Getting Started link. Current member schools may access their state web site by visiting the State Offices page with links to where each state accreditation committee maintains specific information for each state's initial visit fees and accreditation procedures.
Introduction to AdvancED
The Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC) is pleased to announce that the NWAC Commission and Board of Trustees voted at the Annual Meeting in December of 2011 to approve new bylaws for NWAC to officially become a division of AdvancED. The transition began immediately.
We will continue to accredit under the NWAC name so that we maintain our brand recognition in our region, while gaining access to a broader network of schools and greater resources. NWAC, by joining with AdvancED, becomes part of a world-wide network serving nearly 30,000 public and private schools and districts in over 70 countries.
AdvancED is the global leader in advancing education quality accomplishing this through accreditation, school improvement, research, product innovation, and professional learning. We’re excited about the opportunity that joining AdvancED offers to benefit school systems, schools, and ultimately students through our shared commitment to education quality.
